Customization Overview
Velocity Sports represents multiple amateur football teams across Northern UK.
For the upcoming regional league, they required custom calf-length training socks
that could unify team apparel while providing comfort and reliable performance during
daily training and competitive matches.
Customer Requirements
- Custom Team Logo: Team logo embroidered on the outer calf; printing was rejected due to poor wash resistance.
- Impact Cushioning: Terry cushioning on the heel and sole to absorb impact during daily training and matches.
- Breathability: Breathable mesh panel on the instep to reduce overheating during long training sessions.
- Custom Team Colors: Two official colorways developed to match the home and away team jerseys.
- Arch Support: Compression arch support to help prevent the socks from slipping inside football cleats.
- Delivery Deadline: Strict delivery required within 45 working days before the league kickoff.
- Consistent Sizing: Sizing needed to accommodate both male and female adult players.
Customization & Manufacturing Solution
Custom Logo Solution
We adopted high-density embroidery for the team logos to provide better stability
and wash resistance during repeated use and washing.
Performance Construction
The socks were constructed with a thick terry sole and heel for cushioning, combined
with a lightweight mesh instep to balance impact protection and breathability.
Color Development
Two physical color samples were developed and submitted to the client for visual
confirmation before mass production.
Fit & Comfort
An elastic arch band and seamless toe closure were added to improve wearing comfort
and help keep the socks securely positioned inside football cleats. Fabric elasticity
was also adjusted to accommodate mixed men's and women's adult foot sizes.
Production Management
A priority production schedule was arranged to meet the tight shipment timeline.
Production lines were coordinated to maintain the required delivery schedule.
Quality Control
Random quality inspections were conducted during production to monitor stitching,
color consistency, sizing and overall product quality.

Results
A total of 3,500 pairs of custom football socks were completed
and shipped on the agreed schedule.
Players reported reduced foot soreness during intensive training, while the
high-density embroidery remained intact after dozens of washes without peeling
or fraying.
All participating teams were satisfied with the fabric comfort and color matching.
Following the project, Velocity Sports placed a repeat order of
5,000 pairs for the next competition season.
The successful project also established an ongoing supply relationship between
Velocity Sports and Zhaoyuan.
